Blue Light Acne Therapy – What were “Blue light” Federalists?
What were “Blue light” Federalists?
To my understanding it was a derogatory term used by people who believed that people had used blue colored signal lights to warn the British of American blockade runners during the war of 1812 (the specific event happening in 1813, in New London, CT). The Federalist had many members who pushed for peace with Britain and, as a result, the entire party gained the “blue light” tag.
It's sort of similar to the “Defeatocrat” term used today.
There are many different ways which people go about curing their acne. Some people use home remedies and others line up at the local grocery store to get a jump on the latest and greatest acne treatment products that money can buy. There is one thing that no matter what you should do in the beginning when you discover that you have acne, which is to see a dermatologist right away. Whether or not the medicine he prescribes you actually works, it’s always good to have the opinion of a professional medical doctor regarding your skin. The different kinds of medicines he might prescribe to you for your acne include topical treatments, which are creams and facial scrubs as well as lotions and moisturizers, oral medications such as antibiotics. A doctor also might suggest that you look into more invasive procedures such as surgery or blue light therapy, but does blue laser light cure acne?
It’s something that not many people are very sure of. They see it advertised on TV and people with clear skin popping up on the screen afterward, but the question is does it really deliver the results it promises. With all the advancements our society has made in the field of science and medicine, we now have procedures like blue laser light therapy which can pretty much guarantee that your acne will be gone after you have it done.
Although blue laser light treatments are definitely not cheap, it will probably be well worth it in the end. Blue laser light therapy works by removing a thin layer of your skin off so that the skin which is infected by the dirt and bacteria is burned off. This may seem painful but it isn’t at all. There are mild side-effects which could occur, but such is the chance you take with any powerful procedure such as this. Redness and swelling around the removed areas could occur, but that is relatively harmless.
