If you have low self confidence in social situations because of your unwanted facial hair, this could be the solution you've been looking for. It's safe, easy, and officially recognized by the FDA for permanent hair removal

Unwanted facial hair can be a big problem for men and women. It can be very discouraging for people trying to look their best. Many people try depilatory creams, tweezing, waxing, and threading. Some folks also resort to repeated everyday shaving. But no matter what they do, the hair just continues to grow back. It can be very frustrating. But there was really no other way eliminate those pesky dark facial hairs from coming back over and over. No way, that is, until now.

Electrolysis is now a standard, affordable solution to the problem of unwanted facial hair. Though it does require regular appointments to a licensed electrologist, it is an incredibly simple and easy process. And more and more laser salons are popping all over the United States and Canada. But before you seek out the services of an electrologist, it’s important to know exactly who and what kind of service you are looking for. Not all electrologists are equally skilled in all areas of the body. If unwanted facial hair is your area of concern, make sure you look for an electrolysis practitioner that specializes in facial hair.

With regard to safety, electrolysis is a safe and effective procedure that produces permanent hair removal results. Even the government agrees. Electrolysis is the only procedure recognized by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration as safe for permanent hair removal

All of us desire to feel great about our own physical appearance. However, occasionally it is difficult to stay positive once we understand all of the areas all of us wish to change if we could. Coping with undesirable hair is a really annoying problem causing social inhibition, mental anxiety, as well as low self confidence. Electrolysis permanent hair removal can give you back your confidence, allowing you to feel more comfortable in all kinds of social and business situations.

What were “Blue light” Federalists?

To my understanding it was a derogatory term used by people who believed that people had used blue colored signal lights to warn the British of American blockade runners during the war of 1812 (the specific event happening in 1813, in New London, CT). The Federalist had many members who pushed for peace with Britain and, as a result, the entire party gained the “blue light” tag.

It's sort of similar to the “Defeatocrat” term used today.

There are many different ways which people go about curing their acne. Some people use home remedies and others line up at the local grocery store to get a jump on the latest and greatest acne treatment products that money can buy. There is one thing that no matter what you should do in the beginning when you discover that you have acne, which is to see a dermatologist right away. Whether or not the medicine he prescribes you actually works, it’s always good to have the opinion of a professional medical doctor regarding your skin. The different kinds of medicines he might prescribe to you for your acne include topical treatments, which are creams and facial scrubs as well as lotions and moisturizers, oral medications such as antibiotics. A doctor also might suggest that you look into more invasive procedures such as surgery or blue light therapy, but does blue laser light cure acne?

It’s something that not many people are very sure of. They see it advertised on TV and people with clear skin popping up on the screen afterward, but the question is does it really deliver the results it promises. With all the advancements our society has made in the field of science and medicine, we now have procedures like blue laser light therapy which can pretty much guarantee that your acne will be gone after you have it done.

Although blue laser light treatments are definitely not cheap, it will probably be well worth it in the end. Blue laser light therapy works by removing a thin layer of your skin off so that the skin which is infected by the dirt and bacteria is burned off. This may seem painful but it isn’t at all. There are mild side-effects which could occur, but such is the chance you take with any powerful procedure such as this. Redness and swelling around the removed areas could occur, but that is relatively harmless.

Acne is a problem that millions of folk have to cope with. The FDA approved blue light treatment for acne in 2002. In studies, 2 15-minute exposures a week for a period of 4 weeks produced a sixty % decrease in acne in eighty p.c of patients. Reported remissions from acne lasted so long as 3 to 8 months.

The 1st authorized system of treatment, ClearLight, is now available through dermatologists.

It targets and destroys the outside of the acne and efficiently repairs it. It’s also understood to be effective in clearing inflamed acne in one month. Blue light acne treatment works by slaughtering acne causing bacteria, the P acnes. It’s also being employed to treat inflammatory acne vulgaris in a few cases.

It is typically an eight session treatment period that is often broken down to two times a week treatments. Treatment will change depending on the seriousness of the acne problem.

The red light causes the skin to fix up to two hundred % quicker. Side effects include some short lived pigment changes, some swelling and also dryness of the skin in the treated areas. The blue light treatments are awfully peaceful and don’t harm surrounding tissues in any way. Dermabrasion is like taking sand paper to your face. Each session costs between $50 and $150, making a full course of treatment a median of $800. The principle is very like the assumption daylight improves acne, and it does, but damaging UV rays also cause premature aging and skin cancer.

After routine treatments of roughly two to four weeks the bulk of patients have reported a decrease in the quantity of acne that is present. When used with ALA it’ll supply a long term solution to overactive sebaceous glands. The standard results are a 60% reduction after a month of treatment. Blue light care may also be employed in conjunction with red light care. The red light promotes quicker healing of the skin. It’s been said that healing happens up to 200% quicker when blue and red light treatments are used combined.

This treatment has been effective for approximately 86% of folk being dealt with this Blue and Red light treatment.

If you’re looking for an answer that is milder and less expensive, think about the many herbal therapies that are available.

How do I get my life-long acne problem to go away?

The first time I got a pimple was maybe in 2nd or 3rd grade. And ever since I can't remember a single day when I had a pimple free face. Since then, I have tried what I feel like is everything there is to try. I saw a dermatologist. She had me on all kinds of topicals that didn't work, I was on Acutane and that totally screwed my back up and didn't work with my acne. I've been on like 4 different kinds of birth control pills. Most recently Yasmin. I've tried proactive which didn't work. Oh I forgot to mention I am also allergic to benzoyl peroxide. I've had chemical peel treatments, microdermabrasion treatments, all very very expensive. I am now 24 and still don't know what my face looks like with clear skin. I've had depression because of it. I am married and am very luck to have found someone who could care less about my acne. But I know if I had better skin I'd be so much happier with myself which would reflect through everything else in my life. What else should I do?

With so many people suffering from acne outbreaks, either periodically or on an ongoing basis, it’s no shock that medical professionals continue to research new solutions to this common skin disorder. One of the newest trends in the skin care field is acne blue light therapy.

Several studies have been conducted in order to determine if acne blue light therapy is a viable option for acne patients. Nearly all of these studies have produced results that will be good news for most acne sufferers because it appears that this new type of treatment holds some promise, especially for those people who haven’t achieved the results they were hoping for by using more traditional acne fighting methods.

Since acne is caused, at least in part, by bacteria infecting the skin, the premise for blue light therapy is to kill off those bacteria. More specifically, a bacteria called “Propionibacterium Acne”, or simply P. Acne for short, has been found to be one of the primary culprits in the formation of acne. Blue light therapy is intended to kill off these bacteria in the hopes of reducing additional acne outbreaks.

Obviously, since there’s no medication involved, this type of treatment becomes especially appealing to those acne patients who haven’t had good results with medications or who wish to avoid some of the side effects often associated with strong acne fighting medicines. In addition, it’s non-invasive, so people worried about having to go “under the knife” might find this to be a better solution.

The normal treatment using acne blue light therapy consists of multiple sessions of about 15 minutes or so. In terms of side effects, the only things most patients report is moderate swelling, dry skin or slight changes in skin color. Of course these effects are temporary and are small price to pay for the results you’re likely to achieve.

You can probably see why acne blue light therapy is becoming more popular as an alternative form of acne treatment. If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, why not take a few minutes to look into the options for acne blue light therapy in your area?

Is blue light therapy safe for treating acne?

Whether you have oily or dry skin one piece of advice you’ve probably heard over and over again is to avoid exposing your face and other skin surfaces to direct sunlight for long periods of time.

Now that may be true especially if you’re already suffering from acne problems, but there are other types of light used to treat pimple problems. One such treatment method is acne blue light therapy.

Also known as phototherapy or chromotherapy, the method uses blue light, or blue light and red light together, to create anti-bacterial substances that target the acne-causing microorganisms. With the bacteria and its byproducts missing, it’s only to be expected that pimples and zits will disappear, too, and that there won’t be any more acne breakouts.

* The US Food and Drug Administration has approved the process curing acne and some other skin problems

* The procedure is noninvasive: no incisions, no surgery, no hospitalization

* There is no need to worry about taking numerous medications or using special facial formulations like ointments and creams

* There is little chance of adverse reactions to blue light, unlike ultraviolet light

* In addition to acne removal, the skin derives other benefits from the process, such as reduction of wrinkles

Some caveats to keep in mind, though:

* It isn’t an instant solution; treatment covers a span of several weeks

* Each session or the whole process can be very costly

* It usually takes some time before acne starts to disappear

Acne blue light therapy is just one of the many technologies developed in recent years to treat the widespread problem of acne – a light at the end of a skin problem tunnel, so to speak. It’s something to consider by people on a quest for clear, pimple-free skin.

Acne problems plague countless people all over the world. Age, gender and social status are no barriers to a problem that causes concern and heartache for so many people. More recent developments in procedural cures have seen an upsurge in the popularity of alternative methods in treatment. One such alternative which is highly effective and workable is blue light therapy.

In this therapy, also known as blue photodynamic therapy, affected areas of the face are exposed to blue light from a special source (a lamp with the appropriate filament/filter), without the use of creams, drugs or any additional procedures. Since ancient times, the sun has been a cure for acne problems, and now scientists have identified the part of visible spectrum called blue light to the major factor in this.

How this treatment works

Porphyrins are a substance that occurs naturally in the human body, and results from the breakdown of hemoglobin in red blood cells. The bacteria in acne releases this substance and when it is exposed to light of certain wavelengths, there is damage produced from the combination which destroyers the acne bacteria, the Propionobacterium acnes (or P. acnes bacteria). The affected area of the skin is exposed to high intensity blue colored light of a wavelength range of 405-420 nm in order to do this, and is sometimes done after the application of a photosensitizing agent.

The patient is exposed to a blue light lamp for 15 to 20 minutes, usually bi-weekly for a period of four to six weeks. Often, after blue light treatment, red light is also applied as it is seen to activate ATP in skin cells and improve treatment response. The blue colored light also does not cause tanning or skin burn.

Effectiveness

The FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration) classifies laser and light therapies as procedure-oriented treatment and considers it as a legal and safe procedure which is effective in treating acne. FDA approved narrow-band, high-intensity blue-light therapy for this purpose.

The effectiveness of a particular treatment may vary with person to person, and the intensity of the problem may require a custom schedule for the blue light treatment, with or without the use of photosensitizes, with varying intensities of the light and a period of treatment that may vary from one to six weeks. However, the effectiveness has been proven through testing and many people now employ the treatment, with dermatologists all over the world conducting regular treatment sessions with blue light lamps. On average, the light treatment produces 75%-80% results over the course of a three month period. In another test, the treatment caused the eradication of all bacteria in the pores of the skin where the rays of light were applied. Particularly, the treatment when conducted using high intensity, narrow band 405-420 nm light has proven to be a much faster and more efficient and even affordable to a great extent as blue light boxes can be used at home over the course of a longer term if required without adding to medical bills.

There are no noticeable side effects in most cases and where present, these are generally minor reactions. These may include temporary changes in the pigmentation (color) of the skin with some swelling and dryness in the treated area possible as well.

Now being widely advertised throughout the world, this is probably the best-known alternative therapy for acne treatment today.

Acne is a skin condition that is caused by changes in the sebaceous glands. It affects more than 85% of teenagers worldwide and may continue until adulthood if left unmedicated. Unfortunately, it usually targets very visible areas of the human body: the face and the upper neck; it can also develop in the back and at the chest and shoulder areas. This condition is caused by Propionibacterium acnes, which induces inflammation.

Sunlight is believed to improve the treatment of acne by effecting antimicrobial healing processes in the pores. But prolonged exposure to sunlight causes more damage than the good it was intended to effect. Therefore, this light was replicated and modified to copy the good effects of the light without the long term effects. This is called light therapy.

Light therapy is the type of therapy wherein different types of light with different wavelengths from the spectrum are pulsed to a specific area of the body to treat certain medical conditions. Different light wavelengths have different effects on the body. Medical illnesses such as skin diseases and neonatal jaundice have been treated by light therapy. Even psychiatric disorders can be treated through the use of light.

Of the many colors in the spectrum, blue light has been the most used in terms of medicine and daily activities. Blue light therapy was developed by the renowned doctors Simon Ourian and Bob Ourian. For almost three years now, dermatologists have found wide use of the blue wavelength to treat skin disorders, varicose veins and dark spots; this is mostly used for acne treatment. Blue light therapy for acne can be applied through customized lasers or LEDs and when applied to the affected area at least twice a week reduces acne lesions by 64%. Daily application of this light therapy, along with red light treatment, visibly reduces 74% of the acne number.

Before the procedure, a photosensitive gel will be topically applied to the infected area. A series of light pulses are then applied and these wavelengths penetrate through the skin and target the bacteria within. The cells beneath are also benefited as they receive the blue light energy. This means that as the acne is eliminated the cells around are healed and the usual inflammation will gradually subside.

Unlike sunlight, the modified blue light does not have significant long term side effects and the Propionibacterium does not much chance to develop resistance to the treatment. Some redness and discomfort in the treated area should be expected. The doctor might prescribe some mild pain relievers. Blue light therapy should also be used with precaution by people who have light sensitivity. The biggest disadvantage might prove to be its cost, which can start from $500.

Fortunately, a lot of home-use light lamps or boxes are being sold, which might be a little expensive but the long term savings compared to dermatologist visits far outweigh the initial disadvantage. These light boxes can also be used in the comforts of home to provide daily treatment and protection to the user. It is still best to consult the dermatologist for correct dosage and duration of acne blue light treatment at home because the intensity of the light necessary for proper healing is different for different people.

With the recent FDA approval of the use of blue light therapy, and the fact that ultra violet light is no longer used in blue light therapy, a new and improved form of acne treatment has stormed onto the scene. Blue light acne treatment has never been safer and more effective.

How does it work?

Patients receive the blue light acne treatment is increments. It is normally an 8 session treatment period that is usually broken down to twice a week treatments. The sessions last approximately 15 minutes. When treating acne vulgaris the blue light may be used in conjunction with aminolevulinic acid (ALA). Treatment will vary depending on the severity of the acne problem.

What are the side effects of blue light acne treatment?

There are very few side effects associated with blue light therapy, and the side effects that are present in some are very mild. Side effects include some temporary pigment changes, some swelling and also dryness of the skin in the treated areas. When used in conjunction with ALA it will provide a long term solution to overactive sebaceous glands. The normal results are a 60% reduction after 4 weeks of treatment.

Blue light therapy can also be used in conjunction with red light therapy. The red light promotes faster healing of the skin. It has been reported that healing occurs up to 200% faster when blue and red light treatments are used combined. Blue and Red light therapy is effective for about 86% of people. This treatment has been effective for about 86% of people being treated.
